Senator Luis Juez and Deputy Mario Negri expressed their support for Darío Capitani’s candidacy for mayor in Villa María.
“Villa María is synonymous with development, but a mayor who asked for licenses backed out and left the city. People have matured, I think that on Sunday they will reward Together for Change, which is united without speculation accompanying Dario Capitani and also Patricia Bullrich at the national level,” Negri said during a press conference held in the eastern city of Córdoba. .
In the opinion of the president of the JpC bloc in the lower house, “Argentina no longer tolerates improvisations and neither does a leap into the void, nor violence.”
Negri considered that this opposition space “is very strong throughout the country,” as the results have been showing in Santa Fe, Chaco and Mendoza, among other provinces. “We are going to govern half of the provinces. The links in JxC are strengthened. That is why Villa María is important, because it will be a productive city that adds to the change,” he concluded.
The judge also expressed his support for the nomination of Capitani, with whom at the end of 2021 he had a strong controversy over the Gaming Law, which the Córdoba senator opposed. Because of his words, the man from Villamari threatened to take Judge to justice.
“I have no excuse not to accompany. I support him because he is the candidate of Together for Change. The differences we have had were always on the table. We may have different views on public issues, it is to be expected, but here we are all together, as we said we were going to be,” Judge stressed.
On the other hand, the current councilor and architect, Carlos Primo, would be appointed secretary of Works and Services of Villa María, if Capitani reaches the city government, the candidate for mayor anticipated.
