The South American country of Ecuador was not at all notorious for being dominated by crime and gangs. In recent years, however, thanks to the location of the country, the influence of the Colombian cartels has permeated here as well. Since then, the clashes between the gangs have been continuous, and even in the Hungarian media, there is a news regarding the crazy conditions in some Ecuadorian prison. And now you can see things here that we might only know from Mexico until now. The Ecuadorian gang war continues Last week, the leader of one of the Ecuadorian gangs, Los Fatales, was buried with hundreds of firearms in his coffin. The 39-year-old gang leader was washing his car when gunmen stormed his car and shot him and his 20-year-old daughter. Julian Sevillano’s family, however, refused to allow the local police to take the body away following the murder. They took him with them and announced a huge funeral for the next day. And really, a lot of people showed up at the funeral, where everyone brought at least one weapon, which was then placed in the coffin and the grave. The goal was for Sevillano to be fully armed and able to defend himself in the followinglife. In the meantime, it was also revealed that one of the rival gangs shot Sevillano in order to get revenge on him for the crimes he committed earlier. They followed and observed him for days so that they knew exactly when and where to pounce on him. According to the Ecuadorian press, disputes with the Los Cornejos gang and a territorial fight were the root cause of the murder. The goal is the fight for the drug transport routes of Manabí and Los Ríos.
