Japanese animations, superheroes and video games attracted 59,314 people to Brussels Expo this weekend, for the Heroes Comic Con and Made in Asia festivals, their organizers said on Sunday evening.
For the first time, the Made in Asia festival dedicated to Asian pop culture – especially Japanese – and “geek” culture, and the Heroes Comic Con focused on American pop culture, in particular comics, series or films of ‘Across the Atlantic, were taking place at the same time. A “successful marriage between East and West” according to the organizers, who are delighted with the attendance at both events. The next edition of the Made in Asia festival will be held from March 1 to 3, 2024 while Heroes Comic Con will return from October 11 to 13, 2024.
