The Sony Inzone H7 headset adopts a design and colors that are reminiscent of the PlayStation 5. Despite the plastic materials used for the structure, the headset is neat, with good finishes and excellent ergonomics. The headband is thin and padded with memory foam that is pleasant to wear. The headset is light and comfortable, even following long use. The earpads are covered with a nylon fabric that does not keep the ears hot.
The H7 is a 100% Bluetooth headset without wired connections. You can connect it to a PC, your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but also your Nintendo Switch. In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, a USB transmitter is present, which allows two simultaneous wireless connections. Is this gaming headset worth it at this price?
It’s not so much the promotion that’s interesting, but the €75 offered to use on the PlayStation Store. With it, you can buy a triple A game like the recent one Lies of Por several independent games, like the excellent Chants of Sennaar. A wallet of €75 also allows you to subscribe to PlayStation Plus for several months. Still, this Sony H7 headset is a good deal at this price. It delivers sound with good dynamic rendering and balanced audio. Thanks to the pads, the bass and midrange are ample and the whole thing is warm. Too bad the treble sometimes lacks precision.
Sound spatialization is not essential to enjoy the immersion offered by the H7. The Tempest 3 audio technology that comes with the PS5 already does a fantastic job of sound reproduction. The microphone is correct, with recognizable and intelligible voices. Finally, the Sony Inzone H7 offers a very good battery life of 40 hours.
