Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) announces its contribution of $1.1 million to support Morocco and Libya in their recovery efforts following devastating earthquakes and floods.

These donations come from the four entities affiliated with the Hyundai Motor Group.
These funds, amounting to $500,000 for Morocco and $600,000 for Libya, will be channeled to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) through the Korean Red Cross.

In addition to their financial contribution, the Hyundai Motor Company headquarters for the Middle East and Africa region, in partnership with its distributor in Morocco, provides transportation to support government initiatives aimed at providing school supplies, offering psychotherapists and organizing blood drives. Equipment and clothing are also offered to victims to meet their immediate needs. Additionally, discounts are offered on damaged vehicle parts, and free inspections are also made available.

Hyundai Motor’s distributors in Libya have so far provided support by providing 30 truckloads of relief materials, such as food and blankets. Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company’s Middle East and Africa headquarters has launched a special program to provide discounts on parts and provide free inspections of damaged vehicles.

It is worth noting that Hyundai Motor Group has already made contributions and provided relief items during several previous major international disasters, including the 2023 Turkey earthquake, 2022 Hurricane Ian in the United States. , the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia in 2018, as well as heavy rains in Peru and Colombia in 2017.
