One UI 6.0 has reached its fourth beta version and Samsung has started working on new features dedicated to privacy. One of them is the Screen Hide that arrived at Good Lock through the module Battery Guardian. With it, users can hide parts of the cell phone screen with a kind of “digital curtain” so that curious people cannot spy on their conversations.

What is Good Lock?

If you don’t already know, Good Lock is an application that allows you to add functions to One UI. Good Lock apps are called modules and developed by Samsung itself. One of them is the Battery Guardianwhich focuses on reducing cell phone energy use.

The new version of Battery Guardian brings the option Screen Hidewhich literally erases part of the screen on compatible cell phones to reduce energy consumption and increase user privacy.

This is a great way to ensure that no one will eavesdrop on your conversations on the subway, bus or in any other public environment.

Furthermore, the function puts the screen in low power consumption mode, making the smartphone’s battery last longer, as you can deactivate just a part of the screen or continue listening to the audio of a video while it is playing.

O Screen Hide It can be quickly activated from the quick settings above the Android notification center, which is very convenient.

To add the shortcut, simply install Good Lock via Galaxy Store, download the module Battery Guardian and open the application to configure its functions. The new feature is only compatible with One UI 6.0.

To disable the Screen Hide Just press the power button or double-tap the screen and it will be fully on once more.
