Named “Casa Assossego”, the project designed by architect Carol Miluzzi and Wilian Vasconcelos really inspires this feeling. With 300m2 built, the couple’s intention was to create an aura of tranquility, comfort and elegance in the home, surrounded by a generous plot of 1000m2. As a result, a beautiful house that is almost entirely one-story and “without frills”, as they like to say.
The rusticity of the materials is interspersed with the elegance of the project, which is divided between the living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony, office and bathroom as social areas, and three more bedrooms, one for the couple, as an intimate area. In the leisure area, sauna, pergola and swimming pool, all areas of the house have a beautiful view of Araçoiaba da Serra, in the interior of São Paulo. In fact, the house was built from scratch with this landscape in mind!
At this week’s Open House, I got a full tour of the house. You will realize that it was really designed to be lived in, with resistant materials and an interior design ready to cherish all the memories created there by the couple without any headaches.
Oh! And you will also like to see the first Open House I did with Carol Miluzzi, where I visited her office in São Paulo. It’s a beautiful village house that’s worth checking out too, just click here.

Valentine’s House: What is the biggest highlight of the project in your opinion?
Carol Miluzzi and Willian Vasconcelos: The framing of the landscape is one of the highlights. From all points it is possible to enjoy the view. The integration between social environments and also not leaving any space idle is another point worth commenting on. All spaces are used!
Valentine’s House: And what style do you think the house fits into?
Carol Miluzzi and Willian Vasconcelos: We don’t believe that homes need to be stuck within one style. She is our reflection, and we are a reflection of everything we experience. The mix of styles brings richness and personality to the project.
Valentine’s House: How the materials were chosen:
Carol Miluzzi and Willian Vasconcelos: The house is to be lived in and not just contemplated. That’s why we chose resistant, “no frills” materials.
