The show by the well-known fashion label MYL Berlin under designer Sebastian Pladwig is entitled Nights of Ecstasy and took the audience’s breath away. The fashion label is the only German brand that can be found on the official program of London Fashion Week and is broadcasting the spectacle live from Berlin. The fashion show took place in the form of a runway show including a dance performance in the Kühlhaus in Berlin. The German capital shapes the look of MYL Berlin and internalizes the brand message like no other place. The show and the Spring Summer collection break all norms and are entirely dedicated to their community.
Impulses and ecstasy
As the name suggests, Nights of Ecstasy is all regarding nights full of ecstasy. And the collection focuses on electrifying impulses and intense emotions as well as irresistible desire. Right from the start of the show, the walls of the cold storage room shake from the pulsating music, which determines the heartbeat. A few models step onto the catwalk and perform a coordinated choreography before continuing to present the collection with proud facial expressions. The expressive dance performance represents a rhythmic interplay between passion, movement and touch in a dark night through which neon-colored lights shine.
Bare skin and mouthparts
The neon lights can be found in the collection as a greenish neon yellow, which appears once more and once more. Otherwise, of course, we find lots of black and white, sometimes shimmering silver. Tailored to the world-famous Berlin club scene, the collection features elements such as leather materials, transparent fabrics and revealing cuts. Added to this are the unique pieces of jewelry from MYL Berlin, which include special stainless steel chains, chokers and mouthpieces. They are presented in a spectacular way. Overall you can see a lot of skin because some dresses are completely transparent and others are very tight. In addition, MYL Berlin can’t resist sending at least one model topless onto the catwalk. Wide necklines and leg slits, nipple patches or just buckles around the chest also enjoy their appearance. Eide’s looks are usually provocative but at the same time represent freedom and acceptance, which the label also wants to embody and spread.
Applause and followingshow
During the show there is a short choreography performance, which once once more lifts the mood. And as a revision, all the models run one following the other once more, so that the harmonious image of a pleasurable night of ecstasy comes into its own and remains in the audience’s memory in exactly the same way. Sebastian Pladwig gets his applause and the MYL Berlin community celebrates an following-show party full of ecstasy.
