Prime Minister Chairs Board of Governors Meeting: Updates on School Maintenance and Building Violations Reconciliation Law

Prime Minister: The government is in the process of putting the final touches on the building violations reconciliation law, and there is coordination with the House of Representatives with the aim of agreeing on the proposed articles, which will contribute to the speedy issuance of it so that citizens can benefit from it.

Emphasizing the importance of the exhibitions that were opened during the recent period to provide the needs of schools and various types of goods at reasonable prices

Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired the meeting of the Board of Governors, in the presence of Counselor Omar Marwan, Minister of Justice, and Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development. This is to follow up on a number of important files.

The Prime Minister began the meeting by offering congratulations to all citizens in the governorates of the Republic on the occasion of the approaching birth of the Prophet, as well as the state’s celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the glorious October victory, extending his sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Armed Forces, and the great Egyptian people on these occasions. Great, praying to God to return it to our great people and Egypt with goodness and blessings, and to protect it from all evil.

The Prime Minister praised the package of new measures announced by the President of the Republic, during his recent visit to Beni Suef Governorate. Stressing that these measures provide social protection umbrellas for various segments of citizens, and come within the framework of Mr. President’s keenness to mitigate the repercussions of the economic crises that have affected various countries of the world.

During the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed the necessity of continuous follow-up during the current period of the ongoing preparations to receive the new academic year. This is in light of the state’s efforts to provide a good educational climate for our students.

In this context, the Prime Minister was charged with the need to complete the maintenance work carried out by educational directorates and departments to ensure the readiness of schools before the start of school, and everything related to educational facilities, classrooms, activity rooms, and bathrooms, and to ensure their safety, as well as lighting work, and the safety of various facilities. In all schools in the Republic, he stressed that governors should personally review all these procedures, while ensuring direct communication with the Minister of Education to resolve any urgent problem in this regard.

In the same context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed the importance of the exhibitions that were opened during the recent period to provide the needs of schools, as well as the availability of various types of goods and other supplies, at reasonable prices, which aim to create a balance in the markets, and work to ensure the availability of various goods in the markets permanently, pointing out the importance of Continuing these exhibitions, and increasing the number of outlets offering various goods at reasonable prices.

During his speech, the Prime Minister indicated that the government is in the process of finalizing the building violations reconciliation law, and said: There is coordination with the House of Representatives in this regard. So that there is consensus on the materials presented, which contributes to the speedy issuance of it so that citizens can benefit from it, and at the same time we set a dividing line for these violations, and work to prevent them from being repeated once more.

In this context, a number of proposals were reviewed that would contribute to providing further facilitation regarding the procedures for dealing with requests for legalizing seizures, whether with regard to the stage of submitting, examining, recording and previewing applications, the pricing stage, or the stage of deciding and writing contracts. In this regard, reference was made to the performance rates and implementation rates for the requests that were submitted, the contracts that were drawn up, and what was inspected from these submitted requests.

During the meeting, the Minister of Local Development also reviewed the position of the recovered lands so far, and what has been registered of them in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in this regard, as well as the efforts made to ensure that they are not infringed upon.

The Minister of Local Development also reviewed the executive position for equipping national safety centers, and in light of this, the Minister indicated that during the year 2021-2022, 5 control centers were operated in the governorates of: Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, Luxor, and South Sinai, and 2 operational control centers were operated. A trial run last August in the Gharbia and Qalyubia governorates, then this was followed by the opening of the control center in Cairo. He added that 6 other centers had been completed in a number of governorates and were ready for opening, pointing to the continuation of work in the remaining centers, whose completion rates vary, in preparation for their successive completion during the coming period.

The Prime Minister followed up on the governorates’ measures to rationalize electricity consumption, and in light of this, Major General Hisham Amna listed the measures being taken in this regard, noting that lighting in streets and squares is being reduced, and other measures.

The Prime Minister also followed up on the executive position of the plan to operate government services complexes. The Minister indicated that the total number of these complexes amounts to 332 complexes, and the implementation of 324 of them has been completed, and work is underway to complete the remaining number. It was also noted that a review and audit of the village local units and villages targeted in the centers of the second phase has been conducted to determine the names of the villages and their dependencies once and for all. With 19 governorates, 52 centers, 437 local units, and 1,638 villages, in addition to the targeted villages within the Matrouh Governorate.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also followed up on the preparations being made to hold the presidential elections scheduled to be held during the coming period, through logistical and organizational preparations that would facilitate all aspects of the electoral process.
