New IMSS Hospital in Tlaxcoapan, Hidalgo: A Game Changer for Healthcare in the Region

Tlaxcoapan, Hgo.- The new hospital of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) was inaugurated, which will benefit thousands of beneficiaries.

“The three levels of government working together can do many things,” said the governor of Hidalgo Julio Menchaca Salazar, together with the general director of the IMSS, Zoé Robledo and other officials, when inaugurating Family Medicine Unit Number 37, located in the vicinity of the Teocalco community.

Menchaca highlights IMSS-Wellbeing in Hidalgo

The Hidalgo executive mentioned that this new hospital is the result of the efforts of women and men who build Hidalgo and Mexico.

He recognized the great leadership of the President of the Mexican Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and the continuous work he does for the benefit of Mexicans, including those from Hidalgo.

Also, he said that the agreement was recently signed for the state of Hidalgo to replicate the IMSS Bienestar program and change the health service benefit schemes.

“Here we reaffirm the commitment to work hand in hand with the Mexican Social Security Institute and to grow its infrastructure to provide good quality service to Hidalgo beneficiaries,” said the governor.

While Zoé Robledo indicated that IMSS employees showed what the aforementioned federal institution can do by saving lives when remembering the flood in Tula during 2021.

“After this event we are preparing the hard and painful moment for Tula and there must be hope and President Andrés Manuel López gave the instruction to care for relatives of victims and those who lost something and following having attended to the emergency it was thought that it would continue and return to the IMSS hospital that flooded twice during the last 47 years. “AMLO said that this medical space had to grow in a space on the land of the failed refinery and Petróleos Mexicanos donated a considerable area of ​​land to build this project,” said the federal official.

Family Medicine Unit Number 37 will benefit 50 thousand users

The director of the new medical unit, Brenda Cruz Arteaga, stated that there are more than 50 thousand users from this region who will be treated in Family Medicine Unit Number 37 in various offices and medical areas.

Finally, the officials took a tour of the new facilities of the hospital located on the Tlaxcoapan-Tula de Allende state highway.
