The European stock markets closed in scattered order on Friday, all marking a decline in their weekly results, driven by the offensive position of the Federal Reserve which indicated Wednesday evening that rates would remain high for a long period.
In Europe, after a sharply lower opening, Frankfurt (-0.09%) and London (+0.07%) made up for their losses while Paris only limited them (-0.40%). Over the week, the Paris Stock Exchange dropped 2.63%, Frankfurt 2.12% and London 0.36%.
The BEL 20, for its part, lost 2.09%.
