Read in full version 09.23.2023 05:46, Nikolay Khizhnyak Cooler Master has introduced a compact and fully modular computer case, the Qube 500 Flatpack. The new product was first shown at Computex 2023 in June. The case is delivered completely disassembled in a flat box, which significantly saves space for transportation and storage. Image source: Cooler Master Despite its compact dimensions of 380 x 231 x 381 mm (excluding bumps) or 406 x 231 x 415 mm (including bumps), as well as a volume of 33 liters, the case supports installation of not only small ITX boards , Micro-ATX and standard ATX, but also large E-ATX form factor boards. The Qube 500 Flatpack case will accommodate a video card up to 360 mm long and a liquid cooling radiator with a standard size of up to 280 mm and a total thickness of up to 53 mm. It also supports the installation of air cooling systems up to 172mm in height. The case is very airy and offers seven expansion slots. An additional interesting feature of the new product is the ability to install the power supply on the front side (behind the front wall). In this case, installation of power supply models up to 273 mm wide is allowed. If desired, the power supply can be installed in the lower part of the case. In this case, power supplies up to 293 mm wide are supported. The length of the power supply can be up to 173 mm (216 mm including space for cables). There is also enough space inside to install four 3.5-inch and three 2.5-inch drives. The case comes with one pre-installed 120mm SF Black PWM fan with speeds up to 1800 rpm, which is located on the rear wall. In addition to it, you can install one or two (if the power supply is located at the bottom) fans of standard sizes 120 or 140 mm in the front, two 120 or 140 mm fans on top, two of the same in the back and two more on the left wall. The Qube 500 Flatpack will be available in black and white versions. It will also be available in mint, pink and cream colours. It will also be possible to create additional accessories for it yourself using a 3D printer, for example, various stands for headphones or game controllers. The company did not disclose the cost of the case. The company published detailed video instructions for assembling the Qube 500 Flatpack on its YouTube channel. Cooler Master also introduced maintenance-free liquid cooling systems in the MasterLiquid Atmos series in sizes 360 and 240 mm. They are equipped with pumps with a noise level of 12 dBA, designed for 210 thousand hours of operation between failures, as well as 120 mm SickleFlow Edge fans with operating speeds of up to 2500 rpm, for which 160 thousand hours of operation between failures are claimed. The fans produce 70.7 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of airflow and 3.61mmH2O of static pressure. Their noise level does not exceed 27.2 dBA, the manufacturer claims. An interesting feature of the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Atmos series liquid cooling systems is that their units are equipped with a pump with replaceable covers. You can print your own version of the cover on a 3D printer, using, for example, ready-made sketches from Cooler Master itself, which will be published on a special website. For LSS, compatibility is declared with processor sockets Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 1151, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, as well as AMD Socket AM5 and AM4. The manufacturer did not say anything regarding the cost of the new products.
