“Water trucks have been distributed in various sectors to meet the needs of the community in general, as well as in schools, bedridden people and senior centers in the affected area, among others. In response to the Department of Health’s notification a few minutes ago, I have activated incident management teams under the Municipal Emergency Operations Center to effectively coordinate and monitor all operations related to this emergency. The health and safety of our residents is the top priority, and the Municipality of Canóvanas will continue to work tirelessly to mitigate the effects of this situation and provide assistance to those who are affected,” Soto Villanueva said in written statements.
