Johannesburg (ots/PRNewswire) Hisense, the global consumer electronics and home appliance company, has celebrated the launch of its Hero Mini-LED ULED TV, the U8, with a range of engaging experiences for children in South Africa.

In the event entitled “Portals to Beyond”, U8 TVs serve as a kind of mirror in which moments of splendid life are captured and shown. The experiential events will give children extraordinary experiences in the areas of environmental protection, nature experience and art gallery, all at the same time expand their horizons and show the immersive image of the U8.

The TV promises to take people “beyond the extraordinary” by capturing and displaying sports, art and nature with an outstanding audio-visual experience. Its Mini-LED PRO technology offers viewers a picture of up to 1500 nits, which is significantly brighter and more detailed than before. Thanks to the Quantum Dot Color function, which produces light at incredibly precise wavelengths, the television can capture and display more than a billion different color tones.

Beyond the scenario-driven thinking that drives Hisense’s innovations, the company wants to go further and keep the environment in mind alongside its technological advances. To mark the launch of the television, Hisense donated 10,000 trees to OneTreePlanted, which will be planted where they are most needed. This commitment to nature is also evident in the company’s “Portals to Beyond” exhibition and across all Hisense businesses.

Hisense adheres to the principles of energy saving and environmental protection to provide environmentally friendly products. The company is also committed to improving the environmental footprint of its factories by expanding solar power generation at the plants it operates. The company expects total installed capacity to reach 60 MW and annual power generation capacity to reach 53 million kWh by the end of 2023. The share of solar power generation in Hisense’s total electricity consumption is now over 10 percent.
