A Swiss Army Super Puma was damaged in an incident last Saturday during training for the Roanne airshow in France. The helicopter deviated from its trajectory while trying to perform a difficult figure.

There were no injuries. The two pilots were able to immediately correct the error, and the aircraft was able to land safely at the desired location, the Army Defense group announced on Friday. The maneuver the aircraft was attempting to perform was a ‘Screwdriver Down’, considered very demanding.

The damage is relatively significant, but no figures are given. The demonstration of the device planned for the show which took place last Sunday was canceled. Military justice took over the case. The Super Puma was still in France waiting to be repatriated to Switzerland.
