In November 2019, Germán Bahamón, the father of celebrity Claudia Bahamón, lost his life in a car accident. According to what the host of ‘Master Chef Celebrity’ tells in a video that circulates on social networks, her father suffered from microdreams and it was one of them that caused her to crash into a cattle truck in Magangué, Bolívar.
After this, the businessman was conscious for only a few minutes and managed to call his son and tell him that he was very sorry, but that he was fine.
Minutes later, according to Claudia Bahamón, her father died due to respiratory arrest.

“My father suffered from microsleeps and once he crashed he managed to stay alive and managed to call my brother and tell him: ‘Sorry, son, I fell asleep, but I’m fine.’ Twenty minutes later he died,” he said in a TikTok video.
This story had already been made known roughly in other situations. However, this time it was different due to the context in which she found herself, since the two-minute clip, which is circulating on networks, is actually a commercial related to a famous automobile brand.
According to comments on social networks, the criticism from some users does not have to do with the presenter telling the story of her father, but rather with what she mentioned later, since she assured that if he had been in the car – of the which he was speaking at a promotional event – the accident might possibly have been avoided.
“If my dad had had that car, he would be here telling us a wonderful story,” explained the presenter, while images of her in the vehicle to be highlighted were shown.
What did Bahamón respond to the criticism?
Given the rain of comments, Claudia Bahamón spoke on the social network X (formerly Twitter) regarding the commercial and her father.
“Social media often becomes a hostile environment because of the ease with which people can express negative and conflicting opinions anonymously or from a distance. Especially Twitter. Misinformed hate spreads as fast as a wildfire. And Turning it off takes time. The important thing is to maintain respectful behavior online and promote a more positive and constructive environment always. I do my thing and honor my dad with every breath. Love to the world!” she posted.
In the eye of the hurricane
This is not the first time that the presenter has found herself in the eye of the hurricane, and much less in recent months, in which ‘Master Chef Celebrity’, a reality show she presents, has been broadcast.
Recently, Venezuelan actress ‘Nela’ González confessed that in one episode she had experienced a loss of time in the pantry due to the model’s intervention.
In an interview, the actress shared that from now on she will reduce her attention when the presenter approaches, since she considers that her presence distracts her when selecting the ingredients for the recipe. According to her comments, this situation has previously led her to not have all the necessary ingredients in her area at the end of the challenge.
After the previous challenge with the artichokes, Claudia and I are not friends.
“I don’t want to talk to you. After the previous challenge with the artichokes, Claudia and I are not friends. I was distracted looking for the artichokes, Claudia told me: ‘how can you not see them’. I spent 4 minutes looking for some artichokes that were not there,” he said between laughs.
This generated different comments on social networks, especially due to the tensions that have been experienced in the ‘MasterChef’ kitchen.
