Rodrigo Castro Corrales has become a familiar face to Colombian viewers due to his role as host on the gossip show ‘El Lavadero’, which was broadcast on the RCN channel for over 7 years and had a second season in the year 2021.
In this program, Rodrigo shared the stage with Graciela Torres, who is widely known as ‘La Negra Candela’. Together, they were in charge of keeping the audience up to date with the latest news and rumors related to personalities from the world of entertainment in Colombia.

According to ‘Revista Fuchsia’, the first episode of the program was broadcast in 2005, and it was thanks to the initiative of Graciela Torres, a highly recognized figure in the traditional field of Colombian entertainment. This RCN Television format became one of the most watched programs in the country during the followingnoon.

Rodrigo Castro Corrales is recognized among Colombian viewers thanks to his work as a presenter on ‘El Lavadero’. However, before his foray into the entertainment program, he began his career as an actor, participating in projects such as ‘Oki Doki’, ‘From head to toe’, ‘O todos en la cama’, ‘Gangs, war and peace’ and ‘Francis, the mathematician’.
In addition, he expanded his artistic horizons by getting involved in theater with works such as ‘The Knight’s Party’ and in cinema with films such as ‘El Paseo 2’.

After his departure from ‘El Lavadero, he played important roles as undersecretary of the Government Commission of the Bogotá Council and later served as an advisor to the Corporation, thus showing his dedication to public service.
The actor then joined the National Police and rose to the position of officer. In April 2016, he assumed his first public position as secretary general of the Bogotá Council.
Currently, Castro Corrales works in the legal and legal team of the Social Prosperity department. This entity is responsible for distributing the subsidies that the State grants to the most vulnerable populations in Colombia.
