A 54-year-old pedestrian was hit by a motorist at Place du Nord in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. She had been seriously injured. “After being interviewed by the police, he was placed at the disposal of an investigating judge, who charged him with involuntary assault and battery resulting from a traffic accident, hit and run and driving despite a disqualification from driving, as a repeat offender,” detailed the prosecution. “The investigating judge decided to place the suspect under arrest warrant. In the meantime, the council chamber confirmed his preventive detention.”
