Singer Mohamed Tharwat spoke regarding the crisis of his son, director Ahmed Tharwat’s rare illness, which he suffered during the recent period.
Tharwat said on the ET Arabic program: “Ahmed, my son, was exposed one day and one night to a rare immune disease, an attack by the immune system on the nervous system from the north.”
He continued: “One day and one night, I found my son unable to move. It was a difficult test, but with patience and thanks to God Almighty, everything will be overcome.”
He added, crying: “There is nothing more precious than sheep, and these are tears of gratitude to God Almighty. There is nothing except by the will of God, and there is no before or following health in a person’s life.”
Ahmed Tharwat had previously announced, via his Instagram account, his recovery and response to treatment following 160 days had passed since he contracted a rare disease of the nervous system (Miller Fisher Syndrome), due to which he was forced to travel to Germany to complete his treatment trip there.
Muhammad Tharwat’s son wrote: “Praise be to God for the generosity of our Lord, and thanks to your prayers, today, following 160 days of struggle with Miller Fisher Syndrome, is the first successful day that I am standing once more on my feet following dozens of weeks and hundreds of attempts.”
He continued: “I learned a lot from God’s test of me. I learned contentment and praise in every situation, and that God’s protection over us is above everything, and the extent of your tolerance brings with it His generosity to you, in the end, and that He will not let you down as long as you submit to your command, and that it is normal, and that everything is possible to start once more from the beginning, even if there is still hope.” “Long life.”
He continued: “Our Lord inspired me at the beginning of my infection to document this test from the first day until now, and this is because when I get up, God willing, I hope to be a reason for raising awareness of such rare diseases, and how, if God forbid, you or someone close to you were infected with it, how would you deal with it, because A big part of recovery is the psychological state of the injured person.”
He continued: “I would like to say something from my heart seriously. The generosity with which God has bestowed upon me has enlightened me to many things. It has made me sit with myself and evaluate them, and has taught me the value of a blessing. A blessing that He has bestowed upon me, such as when I enter the bathroom alone, or know how to eat alone, or walk a step, or even control my body. Most people don’t know that I lost my sight for weeks in my left eye and lost the ability to control speech for more than a month.”
He added: “And every day I used to ask myself, while I was in these circumstances, if God had remembered me, what had I given to everyone around me?…And I have now come to the point that I still have a bigger goal than just succeeding or working for myself. I have a sense of what I need to value when I enter into it and feel it.” “Like, for example, someone who had the disease that afflicted me and did not know and thought he had another disease and died because time did not help him, or another patient who knew the diagnosis and did not have the money for treatment, given that treatment for immune diseases such as antibody injections is very expensive.”
He added: “God willing, very soon I will talk regarding something I am working on that will alleviate the suffering of anyone in need of support or assistance. May God help me and I will never see anyone undergoing a test like what I went through. Finally, I would like to thank everyone who prayed for me from the bottom of their hearts and all my friends and family who Their love for Lea was one of the reasons that I was standing once more on my feet following God’s protection and grace, and your prayers for Lea to complete her recovery well, and oh God, may God make me a better person following this experience.”
