The drug traffickers: Loving in hell is the new journalistic investigation published by Anabel Hernández that adds more famous women, including singers, hosts and actresses, to the list of celebrities with whom the drug trafficker Arturo Beltrán Leyva would have had a romantic relationship.
This is the continuation of the report Emma and the other ladies of the narco (2021) that caused controversy in the entertainment world, since the book mentions that personalities such as Sergio Mayer, Ninel Conde, Juan Gabriel, Andrés García and ‘Platanito’ They had ties to the cartel led by the brothers.
In the first installment of said investigation, the author pointed out Galilea Montijo as one of the famous women who had a romantic relationship with Arturo Beltrán Leyva, better known as ‘El Barbas’. Now, in this new publication, she offers more details of the alleged romance and also reveals that Karla Panini, one of the members of Las Lavanderas, also knew the boss.
Who were the “girlfriends” of Arturo Beltrán Leyva?
One of the most striking aspects of Las Señoras del Narco: Amar en el Infierno is the testimony of Celeste, Beltrán Leyva’s ex-partner, who had a relationship of more than 10 years with the drug trafficker. It is she, as the journalist explains, who “becomes the guide on a journey through hell where she lived and met the most feared drug bosses of recent times.”
“I am Celeste V. I am the mother of the daughter of drug trafficker Arturo Beltrán Leyva, and they want to kill me,” you can read in the book.
Ninel Conde
Hernández dedicates an entire chapter to the actress and singer titled ‘Bombón assassin’. There the journalist accuses Ninel Conde of supposedly receiving a Lamborghini as a gift from the drug trafficker, in addition to other luxurious gifts, and even links her to million-dollar apartments that she would have acquired with money from Beltrán Leyva.

Galilea Montijo
The name of the actress and television presenter appears once more in this second part. Previously, it was said that the driver had a relationship with the drug trafficker for almost two years. However, Montijo denied these allegations and warned that she would take legal action once morest those who seek to tarnish her image.
“Galilea was Arturo’s type, he wasn’t the top, but he was his type. He liked very dark skin, very Mexican, very Mexican features and Galilea has that type. I saw her with Arturo,” Celeste confessed in her story. The woman also narrated that on one occasion, at the beginning of 2005, she saw her arrive with Beltrán Leyva at a residence in Acapulco: “The Galilee that I saw when Ángel was parked was a peacock.”

Karla Panini y Karla Luna
The former member of Las Lavanderas, Karla Panini, who has long been in the middle of controversy for her relationship with Américo Garza, ex-husband of her friend and partner Karla Luna, who died of cancer in 2017, now also appears in the new book by Anabel Hernandez.
According to the journalist, both Panini and Luna were linked to Beltrán Leyva, to which Panini responded with a video published on Instagram, where she accepts that she did know him, but thanks to the relationship he had with Luna.
“I was never in contact with that man, I never knew that man, I never saw him, I never knew regarding him until Karla Luna herself confessed to me that she had had a relationship with that man and that for that reason, in 2008, “Americo had decided to end it.”
He added that in 2009 he found out that it was the drug trafficker, when he saw him in a photograph and Luna mentioned it to him.

Who is Arturo Beltrán Leyva’s wife?
Beltrán Leyva’s list of loves not only includes celebrities, models and actresses, but also women who remained anonymous, among them his wife Ilyana Marcela Gómez Burgueño, who, according to Anabel Hernández, shared physical features with Celeste.
Although the journalist mentions it as in her book Los Señores del Narco, not much was said regarding its origin and history. It was not until the publication of The Ladies of Narco: Loving in Hell that she learned that she is originally from Sonora and she met Arturo when she was only 16 years old.
According to the journalist, the drug trafficker would have become obsessed with her to the point of taking her without the consent of her parents. The couple had two daughters, whom they used to call by their nicknames: Mony and La Pichona.
Hernández also describes her as a woman “without a hair of fool”, dominant, who little by little was “acquiring power and control over Arturo.”
“Behind the killer, the tough, bloodthirsty and relentless drug dealer, was a man with an unhealthy devotion to his wife, a mutual fixation that lurched between love and hate. Arturo was afraid of him,” says the author.
