The dishes look particularly succulent in the first images of the second season of the culinary competition Restaurant. The 12 future restaurateurs who face each other on the starting line are pushed to their limits and the challenges to which they are subjected do not seem easy.

Hosted by Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc and Vincent Dion Lavallée, the show will be back on Zeste on Thursday, October 19, at 9 p.m. The first version was the biggest viewing success for the TVA Group’s specialty channel.

For this new season, the Sphere Media team, working in collaboration with Quebecor Content, is offering an improved recipe. First change: future restaurateurs must win all three rounds to be eligible for the grand prize of $50,000. Remember that in addition to satisfying the taste buds of chef Vincent Dion Lavallée, participants will have to hit the mark with customers, in a real restaurant context. Each week, one of the cooks will have to return their apron at the end of the Great Service.
Going further than a traditional culinary competition, Restaurant draws on several facets of the competitors, including their cooking skills, their ability to adapt, their management skills and their ability to withstand stress.
Filming for the nine episodes took place at the Théophile wine bar in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, in Montérégie.
