Dubai, September 20 / WAM / Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Beach Soccer World Cup “UAE 2023”, confirmed that this edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup will be the best in the history of the tournament.

The UAE will host the tournament in February 2024, for the second time in its history following the 2009 edition.

The Board of Directors of the UAE Football Association, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, decided to reconstitute the Supreme Organizing Committee for the tournament, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
Sheikh Rashid explained, following the meeting of the Supreme Organizing Committee, that the efforts made by the committee confirm that it will be a distinguished edition, thanks to the capabilities of the UAE and the great successes of Dubai in this sport.
Sheikh Rashid appreciated the efforts of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Football Association, in forming the Supreme Organizing Committee, and said: “The UAE has great capabilities in organizing tournaments, especially in beach soccer, in which Dubai in particular has achieved great successes, and even contributed to the success of this sport.” and disseminate it globally.”

He added, “The next edition will be the best in history, in light of the excellent preparation for hosting it. The presence of more than 200 nationalities residing in the Emirates will contribute to its success, given the expected attendance and support of the participating teams.”

He pointed out that the global media interest in the Beach World Cup will shed more light on the tournament, especially in light of its being held in Dubai, with its wide fame that will be reflected in the increase in viewership around the world.

He stressed that next month will witness the announcement of the location of the tournament stadium in Dubai, especially in light of the presence of a group of available and ready options that are currently being coordinated with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) regarding them.

He said, “It is certain that the tournament will be held in one area with mass attraction that meets the logistical standards for such a large event, such as its proximity to hotels and services required to support the tournament.”
He added that the UAE, with its distinguished capabilities and infrastructure, and the expertise of the Football Association and the Dubai Sports Council in organizing this tournament, will present an exceptional version, with economic, tourism and cultural returns that will add a lot to this event.
The Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament held a meeting today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Dubai Football Association, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and in the presence of Omar Al Haj Al Muhairi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, “deputies of the committee,” and Colonel Khamis Ali Al Shamsi.
