French fashion house Rabanne, part of Spanish giant Puig, has announced the launch of its first makeup collection, designed according to the same bold and avant-garde style codes that have always characterized the brand.

“Uncompromising high-performance formulas are combined with maximum color performance thanks to ingredients that respect and care for the skin,” explains the brand in a press release.

“Inspired by fashion fabrics, the unexpected luminous, matte, shiny and metallic finishes take inspiration from the house’s iconic codes, then reinvent them for the next generation of change-makers. Each formula is vegan and stays true to the Rabanne’s commitment to long-term sustainability.”

The packaging is also inspired by the metallic details that characterize the brand’s creations, with packaging in shiny gold, metallic silver and mirrored. The packaging design of each piece is inspired by Rabanne’s most iconic products, including the iconic 1969 bag and XL jewelry.

The collection is divided into three lines – Eyephoria, Rouge Rabanne and Arts Facory – and includes eye shadow palettes, eyelash primers, mascara, glitter effect eyelash top coats, cream eye shadows, lipsticks, a tinted lip balm with a luscious effect, a glitter spray for the face and body, a highlighter, powder, etc. Prices for the line range from 19 to 35 euros.

The new proposition, which will be presented during the brand’s spring-summer 2024 fashion show in Paris, will be led by Diane Kendal, recently appointed beauty creative director at Rabanne. The British makeup artist can boast of around thirty years of experience.

“After graduating from the London College of Fashion, Diane began working for British publications before moving to New York and becoming an influential artist within the nascent grunge movement. Since then, she has been a leading figure in the world of beauty, collaborating with photographers such as David Sims, Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean, Mert Alas and Mario Sorrenti, and his work appears among a long list of prestigious publications”, explains the company.
