While it buries its Groupwatch functionality, the SVOD service integrates screen locking into its mobile applications.
Good news for those who are used to consuming their content on the train, on the bus or elsewhere than at home. Disney+ is currently rolling out a feature to avoid leaving or changing your program following an unfortunate action with the screen lock.
A functionality already integrated on other platforms, which allows you to keep your content displayed on the screen with a simple click without being able to accelerate it, pause it or exit it. Using it is very simple: just click on the padlock-shaped button at the top right of the screen. Once this is done, you will no longer have access to the classic content reading interface by touching your screen, but only the unlock button display.
No more interference if you are on the move. To unlock your screen, simply hold your finger down for a few seconds and you will then regain access to your content which you can exit, advance or otherwise. This news comes at the same time as the discontinuation of the GroupWatch functionality, allowing you to launch simultaneous viewing with other Disney+ subscribers on several screens at the same time. Disney+ is available as an option with 3 months included for Freebox Delta and Pop subscribers.
