Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met with the Sanaa delegation that visited Riyadh 5 days ago.
The Saudi News Agency said that during the meeting, it was stressed that the Kingdom continues to stand with Yemen and its brotherly people, and its constant keenness to encourage the Yemeni parties to sit at the dialogue table. To reach a comprehensive and lasting political solution in Yemen under the supervision of the United Nations, and to move Yemen to a comprehensive renaissance and sustainable development for the brotherly Yemeni people, in light of political stability and lasting security, integrated with the development renaissance of the Gulf system.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed the positive results of the serious discussions regarding reaching a road map to support the peace process in Yemen, which were held by the Saudi communication and coordination team headed by the Ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, and with the participation of the Sultanate of Oman with the Sana’a delegation, headed by Muhammad Abdul Salam Falita.
The Foreign Ministry also praised the contents of Prince Khaled bin Salman’s meeting with the visiting delegation from Sana’a.
Archyde.com news agency quoted Ali Al-Qahum, a member of the Houthi political bureau, as saying that the delegation’s return to Sana’a was aimed at “consultation.”
He wrote on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) that the delegation returned “to consult with the leadership… and inform it of the results of the negotiations.”
He stressed that there will be “a new round… as the negotiations (in Saudi Arabia) were characterized by seriousness, positivity, and optimism in overcoming the stumbling blocks and complications” in various files.
