Last summer, the Stellantis concern presented the Fiat 600e electric SUV, promising to later add versions with internal combustion engines to the range. Today one of them appeared – this is the Fiat 600 Hybrid. It will become an alternative to the electric 600 in most European markets, because even there many buyers are not yet ready to completely switch to electric vehicles.
There are no noticeable differences in appearance between the hybrid and electric versions, so let’s move straight to the technology. The Fiat 600 Hybrid is equipped with the same power unit that debuted a year ago on the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models. It includes a 1.2 petrol turbo three with a power of 100 hp, which is accompanied by a 28-horsepower electric motor built into a six-speed “robot” with two clutches. A 48-volt traction battery is also installed on board.

Fiat promises 0-100 km/h in regarding 11 seconds. At speeds of up to 30 km/h, the crossover can move exclusively on electric power, but the range in this mode will be… only one kilometer. But the electric mode should come in handy in traffic jams or when parking.
The hybrid Fiat 600 will go on sale early next year in two trim levels (standard and La Prima) priced from 24,950 euros. And this is 11 thousand less than what is being asked for the electric Fiat 600e, which is offered for a minimum of 35,950 euros without taking into account subsidies and discounts. An even simpler “six hundredth” is expected next – without an electric booster and with a manual gearbox. This combination is already available in the sister SUV Jeep Avenger.
