According to our information, the French international tested positive following his success in the 100m at the French Championships in Albi on July 28. His urine sample indicated the presence of octodrine, a stimulant classified by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in category S6 of stimulants prohibited in competition. Initially found in medications for nasal congestion, this substance is often found in food supplements.
For the moment, the analysis of sample B has not been requested
This abnormal analytical result (AAR) is a new blow for the Frenchman, who had for more than a year defended his rights concerning his three breaches of his whereregardings obligations where he faced two years of suspension. With the help of his lawyers, he managed to get through it before the AFLD sanctions commission, his third breach having been canceled. This case is now before the Council of State, since the AFLD had appealed the acquittal decision.
A decision which allowed him to “free his head” as he told us once the announcement of his acquittal, a few days before the French Championships. In Albi, he won the 100m and took second place in the 200m, allowing him to validate his selection for the World Championships.
Eliminated at the gates of the semi-finals on the straight in Budapest (Hungary, August 19), Fall also took part in the French 4×100 m relay, which took sixth place in the final on August 26. A finalist place for France which might obviously be canceled if the sprinter was ultimately suspended. For the moment, analysis of sample B has not been requested.
