Praying is for many people one of the best ways to communicate with a supreme being, to give thanks, but also to express those requests and needs that arise daily in life.
Prayer has been an important part of the Gospel since the beginning of the world and is the way to draw closer to God. Believers pray for health, tranquility, well-being, work, children and family, and also to achieve prosperity and well-being at different times in life.

1. Blessed be the Lord, my Rock,
my fingers for battle.
2. He is my loving God, my protection,
my highest hiding place, my liberator,
my shield, in whom I take refuge.
3. He is the one who puts the people at my feet.
Lord, what is mortal that You care for him?
What is the human being that you think regarding him?
4. Every mortal is like a sigh;
His days are fleeting like a shadow.

5. Open your heavens, Lord, and come down;
touch the mountains and make them smoke.
Shoot your arrows and put him in retreat.
7. Extend your hand from above
and save me from the tumultuous waters;
Deliver me from the power of strange people.
8. When they open their mouths, they tell lies;
When they lift up their right hand, they swear falsely.
9. I will sing to you, O God, a new song;
With the ten-stringed harp I will sing psalms to you.
10. You give victory to kings;

14. Let our oxen drag heavy loads;
that there are no gaps or exits,
nor cries of anguish in our streets.
15. Blessed are the people who receive all this!
