After a 60-year-old woman was shot in Uppsala on September 7th, criminals a few blocks away shot a 25-year-old in the stairwell of a residential building on September 12th. The police assume that the young man was a case of mistaken identity – he had no criminal record and was on his way to work when he was killed. (Image: September 12th)

There has been an increase in fatal shootings in the Stockholm region in recent weeks.

The trigger is said to be an internal conflict within the “Foxtrot” network.

Family members and innocent people are also killed in the shootings.

Things have been coming to a head for a few weeks now the situation in Sweden is getting worse once more. Since the beginning of September, seven people have already become victims of gang violence – in the last four months there have been an average of five deaths per month. The reason for the escalation is probably one Internal conflict at the “Foxtrot” network which, according to the police, is led by Rawa Majid aka the “Kurdish Fox”.

The network is said to have divided into two groups: one side is still said to be led by Majid, and the other side is led by his former right-hand man Ismail Abdo, also known as “Strawberry”.

Opponent’s mother shot

The conflict was triggered on September 6th in Turkey. There was a shootout between several Swedish nationals in Istanbul. Five men were arrested. The next day, a 60-year-old woman was shot dead in the city of Uppsala, north of Stockholm – the mother of Ismail Abdo. A 19-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested.

Foxtrot leader Rawa Majid is wanted in Sweden on suspicion of drug trafficking and preparation for murder. However, Majid is in Turkey, has received Turkish citizenship and controls his network from there. Sweden requested his extradition, but Turkey refused.
