According to the MacMagazine had already announced just over a month ago, Apple is launching today the resource Tap to Pay no Brazil.
As a result, merchants can now accept Apple Pay and other contactless payments using their own iPhone and a partner’s iOS app — like Apple’s CloudWalk (precisely InfinitePay, from our previous article) and soon, too, Granite, Nubank, Stone e Sum Up. Tap to Pay on iPhone will work with contactless debit and credit cards from major payment networks, including American Express, Mastercard and Visa.
“Tap to Pay on iPhone has helped businesses around the world and of all sizes — from freelancers to large retailers — offer new payment experiences, and we’re excited to bring an easy, secure and private payment solution to Brazilian merchants” , said Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Apple Pay at Apple Wallet. “Brazil is a nation of great entrepreneurship, and now companies will have the possibility of accepting contactless payments in all locations of operation.”
“With Tap to Pay on iPhone, merchants can quickly start accepting contactless payments using just an iPhone, providing an exciting opportunity for people to create businesses of all sizes,” said Luis Silva, founder and CEO of CloudWalk. “It is exciting to offer this technology in Brazil to our InfinitePay users. Our goal is to democratize access to the world’s most innovative payments services and give merchants the ability to accept payments quickly. The integration of Tap to Pay on iPhone is an important step in that direction.”
Apple launched Tap no Pay in the United States in the middle of last year, and has since expanded it to the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Australia and the Netherlands. It requires an iPhone Xs or later running the latest iOS.
