(Ecofin Agency) – Egypt has launched a project to create and operate five concentrated solar power plants (CSP). These stations will produce electricity and drinking water on the northwest coast, will all be connected to a local network and operated according to the BOO (Build-Own-Operate) system for a period of 25 years.
The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company thus invites qualified entities to participate in a competitive process by expressing their interest in the project. Interested parties are also invited to provide their estimated rates for the sale of electricity and drinking water.
