UAE Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi Receives Hero’s Welcome in Abu Dhabi After Historic Space Mission

Abu Dhabi ∙ Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi set foot on his own soil. He disembarked at Abu Dhabi’s new Terminal A. He met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The 42-year-old, who completed the longest Arab space mission, has been given a grand welcome through the program #Sultan Homecoming.

Al Neyadi and his 6 crew members Stephen Bowen, Woody Hoberg, Roscosmos and Andrey Fedayev landed in Florida, USA on the 4th of this month from the International Space Station (ISS). It took 17 hours to travel from the International Space Station (ISS) to Earth.
