Design and connectivity
Xiaomi 13 Ultra
Xiaomi made its top very prominent with a circular rim to house the cameras, while Motorola used a smaller square block, which makes the main sensor stand out more than the others. At least, the front doesn’t change in the duo, with the notch in the shape of a hole.
When we go to construction, we have an aluminum structure in these two cell phones. The difference is that the 13 Ultra uses a vegan leather back, while the Edge has glass that covers the lid, with Gorilla Glass 5 to protect once morest scratches. The 30 Ultra is also the most compact and lightest of the duo.
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
The Chinese responds with the IP68 certification, which guarantees resistance once morest dust and water greater than the IP52 present in the rival, and with the infrared emitter, to transform the device into the remote control for your TV. In biometrics, both use a fingerprint reader located under the screen.
Their chip drawer does not have a microSD card slot. In other words, no storage expansion here. In terms of connectivity, the 13 Ultra has the edge with seventh generation Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3, once morest the sixth generation wireless network and version 5.2 of Bluetooth present in the 30 Ultra. NFC appears in both, for contactless payments.
Xiaomi scores for greater resistance and better connectivity; and the Edge stands out for its superior construction and more compact and lighter body.

The Chinese responds with Quad HD+ resolution, for images with better definition than the competitor’s Full HD+. Both have HDR10+ technology, but only the 13 Ultra supports Dolby Vision.
Xiaomi added Gorilla Glass Victus protection, with better protection than the fifth generation used by Motorola. At least, the Edge has a refresh rate of 144 Hz, for greater fluidity than the 120 Hz present in the Chinese model.

As
These top of the line do not disappoint in audio and feature a stereo system, with Dolby Atmos support for better equalization. The duo uses the call speaker as an additional channel, but Xiaomi still comes with a third sound output at the top.
Even so, it is the Edge that delivers the most powerful sound of the duo and without any distortion at maximum volume. At least, in terms of quality, both have a good balance between bass, mids and treble.
None of them contain a 3.5 mm headphone jack, but Motorola still sends an accessory with a USB-C plug in your device’s packaging.
Thus, the 30 Ultra notes the point in sound.

The system of both is agile and flows well, driven by these high refresh rates. The mobile network will also not have speed problems, as both are compatible with 5G technology.
Moving on to the features, the 13 Ultra stands out for its customization options, shortcuts in a floating menu and the use of the heart rate sensor integrated into the biometric reader. In turn, the 30 Ultra contains a menu dedicated to games, the use of screen curvature for notification alerts, the famous gestures to turn on the flashlight and open the camera app, in addition to Ready For, which turns the cell phone into a Laptop PC.
Greater longevity from Xiaomi, once morest more advanced features from Motorola. We give another draw.

Performance
The Chinese is already equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but the Edge is still powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Does the difference in hardware generations impact speed? We saw exactly the opposite in our tests. Even with the older platform, the 30 Ultra recorded a time regarding three seconds faster than its rival.
Only in benchmarks can you see the superiority of the Xiaomi chip. He got around 18% more points in AnTuTu, compared to his competitor. In games, the 13 Ultra can run all titles at maximum quality and with features activated. Unlike the Motorola model, which presents a drop in performance due to overheating.
The Edge scores for the best multitasking performance; and Xiaomi scores for being better in benchmarks and games.

Battery
Xiaomi placed a 5,000 mAh battery in its top of the line, with a greater capacity than the 4,610 mAh used by Motorola. Can we give the point to the Chinese woman now? The 13 Ultra clocked 31 and a half hours on our standardized tests and was five hours above the Edge.
When we go to charging, the situation changes. The Xiaomi takes almost 40 minutes to complete the process, with its 90 W adapter, while the 30 Ultra needs just 21 minutes to reach 100%, thanks to its 125 W accessory.
Greater autonomy on one side; faster recharge than the other. We have a point for each once once more.

The 13 Ultra has four rear cameras, one less than the Edge’s triple set. Xiaomi’s main 50 MP even hits the dynamic range and takes photos with good clarity, but the 30 Ultra’s more advanced 200 MP sensor is capable of having a higher level of detail and capturing images with less noise at night.
Their ultrawide has the same 50 MP resolution and maintains the colors and contrast displayed by the main one. Not to mention the presence of autofocus on both sides, to also help record good quality macros.
Motorola has a telephoto lens with just two times optical zoom and is well behind the two cameras used by Xiaomi, one with 3.2 times optical zoom and the other periscopic with 5 times zoom. The Chinese duo even has optimization for clear photos of the Moon.
Greater versatility on one side; more advanced main sensor than the other. Again, we have a draw.

Xiaomi’s front camera is 32 MP and takes good selfies during the day and at night. However, the Edge’s 60 MP camera is impressive and has greater clarity, as well as colors that are close to ideal, even in dark places. Not to mention its virtually error-free portrait mode. Motorola is also the only one of the duo to have 4K front-facing footage.
Therefore, the 30 Ultra makes another point.

Only Motorola launched its top of the line product on the Brazilian market, for a suggested price of R$7,000. In current retail, the Edge 30 Ultra can be found for less than R$4,000. Unlike the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which is only found by importers still in the R$6,000 range.
Therefore, Edge closes the duel with the last point.

One point we need to highlight in this duel is balance. In most aspects, we have relevant positive points in each of these cell phones that caused draws. But still, Motorola managed to stand out compared to Xiaomi.
The Chinese even has its benefits. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes with water and dust resistance in its design; a larger screen, with higher resolution and Dolby Vision support; a system with greater longevity; better performance in benchmarks and games; greater battery life; and greater versatility in its set of rear cameras.
But on the other hand, we have a more complete set in the Edge 30 Ultra. It delivers a premium construction and a more compact and lightweight design; a display with greater brightness and fluidity; a more powerful sound; better software features; superior multitasking performance; and faster recharge. Not to mention the more advanced main camera, higher image quality videos and superior selfies even at night.
The Edge still offers all of this for almost half the price of the Xiaomi, which makes the Motorola model a better deal for anyone who is unsure between these two devices.
