Vienna – Since 2020, the Tyrolean artist Sabine Groschup has consistently focused her attention on the ground. For her project “daily_dirt_report,” she now takes over 800 photos of discarded or lost items that she finds on her journey through cities and landscapes. Things would live a second life for her, says Groschup. Her hunt for beauty in the supposedly ugly and useless can currently be seen in the Vienna Museumsquartier. The EIKON showroom is dedicated to the Tyrolean until October 25th, “On_all_ways, just”.
You can see grouped photographs there that at least resemble an Instagram feed. Groschup also offers small presentations of the images or projections, which in turn cast images onto everyday materials.
In addition to film and photography, the Tyrolean’s work also includes textile works. (bunt)
