As advanced as it is affordable, the Razer Viper is changing while retaining its beautiful heritage. Update on what’s new.
The world of gaming peripherals is abundant, but certain brands have such an aura that each ad must be scrutinized carefully. One of them is obviously Razer, which yesterday announced a new revision of its famous mouse Razer Viper, which goes to V3 and adopts the HyperSpeed protocol in the process.
An ambidextrous mouse comfortable in all areas
Suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users, the Viper has made a name for itself due to its great versatility and comfort of use. With its appreciable shape in both “palm grip” and “claw grip”, the Viper V3 HyperSpeed is suitable for all types of players looking for an affordable, wireless solution, suitable for competitive gaming.
In fact, the new iteration of the Viper features a Focus Pro 30K sensor from Razer, with an impressive sensitivity of 30,000 dpi. As its name suggests, it adopts the HyperSpeed protocol, the name of the 2.4 GHz transmission protocol which guarantees low latency without having to bother with a cable.

Another advantage: the Viper V3 HyperSpeed is compatible with the Hyperpolling dongle (already seen in particular on the Cobra V3 Pro), which increases the polling rate to 4000 Hz. An accessory sold separately, or available in a pack with the new mouse, otherwise you will have to settle for a polling rate of 1000 Hz.
Surprising fact: it runs on batteries! Only one AA battery is required to have an endurance reserve of up to 280 hours, the manufacturer promises. Please note, this autonomy is only valid if you use the HyperSpeed dongle. If we opt for the model with Hyperpolling, the lifespan drops to 75 hours.
A mouse that’s still just as affordable
Although it is not the cheapest mouse in its category, the Viper V3 HyperSpeed offers a solid performance/price ratio.
Equipped with six programmable buttons and mechanical switches for pleasant tactile feedback, it is already available for purchase for €79.99, or €96.99 in a bundle with the Hyperpolling dongle.
