Table Roberti: A Refined Restaurant in an Enchanting Setting 30 Minutes from Brussels

Are you looking for a refined restaurant in an enchanting setting? Look no further, we have found the perfect address for you. Located in Chaumont-Gistoux, 30 minutes from Brussels, Table Roberti opened its doors in 2019. At its management and behind the stove, we find Denis Roberti, an experienced chef who has worked with more than 40 starred chefs over the course of his career. Very meticulous and in search of perfection, he concocts a new menu every month where he highlights seasonal products with cuisine inspired by the south and by Belgian gastronomy, of course.

The place alone is already worth the detour. Located in a very quiet and green area, the restaurant has a beautiful and large wooden terrace, dotted with a garden and a swimming pool. Outside, we even see an impressive barbecue, where the chef likes to try new cooking methods. In addition to the tables, the terrace has a small lounge area, where it is possible to start the evening by sipping one of the many gins offered on the menu. At nightfall, the place becomes even more adorable thanks to little lights located here and there.

Inside, we discover a well-appointed and very modern restaurant room. At the bottom, the most curious will even be able to observe the chef in action. On the walls, dark colors, lit by a few touches of white, which surprisingly create a harmonious and very warm whole. The tables were made to measure, to have the ideal height, higher than a normal table but lower than a high table, as well as a width greater than usual to put the ease the guests. The tableware, raw and delicate at the same time, is handmade and is unique, since it was made by a Belgian artist, Sophie Cauvin.

What do we eat ?

Let’s get down to business now, what regarding the food you might ask? Well you may not be disappointed since Denis Roberti offers a unique menu every evening, imagined in four (68 euros), five (75 euros) or six courses (83 euros). During our visit, we had the opportunity to taste revisited fried mussels, a tartatouille, a sole stuffed with tomato and salmon, an octopus accompanied by a sauce of capers, anchovies and pepper, a quail garnished with truffles and finally , we finished with a creamy 75% cocoa dark chocolate ice cream, with its crumble, its caramel ball and its roasted fig. Just reading these few lines, we are sure that your mouth is already watering. The flavors challenge the taste buds, the spices are lively while being perfectly balanced and the presentation is impeccable. Everything is of course homemade, that goes without saying. So many qualities which are surprising when you know that the chef is alone to provide service for around twenty guests. To accompany this meal, it is possible to opt for a wine package designed by a professional sommelier, ranging from 35 to 48 euros. Wines which are all of great finesse and which take us on a journey: Austria, Italy, France…

In short, faultless in our eyes, so much so that we would not be surprised if Table Roberti inherits a star in the years to come. According to the chef, who is eager to learn more regarding his world, his restaurant is set to move to a more spacious location, but still in the same region. Its goal ? Offer an even more immersive experience for customers. We are already rejoicing!
