Winners of the Sharjah Summer Sports Program 2020: A Recap of the Ninth Edition

The Sharjah Sports Council crowned the winners of the Sharjah Summer Sports Program “Our Vacation Is Not”, the ninth edition of which was held from July 10 to August 3 last year with the participation of 20 clubs and institutions, for the age groups between 7-12 years and 13-17 years for both genders. The ceremony was witnessed by Issa Hilal. Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Abdul Malik Muhammad Jani, Vice-President, members of the Board of Directors, chairmen and members of the clubs’ boards of directors, directors of departments and divisions, employees of the Council and clubs, and members of the Sharjah Sports Summer Committee.
The list of partners and supporters who were honored included: Sharjah Broadcasting and Television Authority, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah Museums Authority and Sahara Shopping Centre. The participating clubs were also honored: Sharjah Sports Club, Al Hamriya, Al Bataeh, Maliha, Al Madam, Khor Fakkan, Al Dhaid, and Kalba Ittihad. , Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Thiqa for the Disabled, Khor Fakkan for the Disabled, Sharjah Self-Defense Sports, Sharjah Cultural Chess, Chess and Culture for Girls in Sharjah, Sharjah Vintage Cars, Sharjah International Marine Sports, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing, Sharjah Falconers, Nahwah Area, and Sharjah Ladies Club, Wadi Al-Helu Branch. .

At the level of specialized clubs, the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club won first place, while the Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club won second place, and the Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled won third place. At the level of sports clubs, the Khor Fakkan Club won first place, while the Maliha Club came in first place. Second place, while Dibba Al-Hisn Club won third place, and Sharjah Ladies Club, Wadi Al-Hilu Branch, won the Distinguished Participation Award, and as for the General Excellence Award, it was won by Al-Hamriyah Club.
Yasser Omar Al-Dokhi praised the success of the event and cited the language of numbers, noting the participation of 2,781 members representing 20 clubs and institutions, an increase of 531 participants over the previous edition. He said that the evaluation committee made 26 field visits to the clubs before announcing the results, and we also witnessed 1,223 activities in the various clubs. It is also a new record compared to the previous year, which witnessed 500 activities, in addition to the organization of four joint competitions.
