And what regarding Corona?
Since 1810, Oktoberfest has been canceled 26 times, mostly due to wars. The largest folk festival might not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic. This year, infectiologists expect an increase in infectious diseases due to the large number of visitors, but a real threat is not expected. Unlike in the first two years of the pandemic, it is absolutely justifiable to celebrate the folk festival as before, said Clemens Wendtner, chief physician of infectious diseases at the Munich Clinic Schwabing, to the German broadcaster ZDF.
