La Paz, Baja California Sur. (OEM-Informex).- This Thursday, September 14, the Hemodynamics Room of the General Hospital of the Zone with Family Medicine (HGZ/MF) No.1, in La Paz, began operations.
The head of the Medical Care Unit of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Dr. Efraín Arizmendi Uribe, an interventional cardiologist, successfully performed four cardiac catheterizations.

Of the procedures, two were therapeutic with coronary angioplasty and endovascular prostheses (Stents) and two were diagnostic, all four with successful results.
Accompanied by interventional cardiologist Andrés García Rincón, general director of the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE) Specialty Hospital of the National Medical Center (CMN) “La Raza” in Mexico City and a multidisciplinary health team, Arizmendi Uribe verified the precision and optimal functioning of the angiograph and other technology necessary for these procedures.
The new Hemodynamics service of HGZ/MF No. 1, in La Paz, will offer timely diagnoses and treatments of cardiovascular diseases, services previously referred to other states of the republic.

The head of the IMSS in Baja California Sur, Dr. Juan Gilberto Pérez Soltero, pointed out that, thanks to the instruction of the general director of the IMSS, Mtro. Zoé Robledo, equipment was achieved in a Second Level Care hospital, in order to reduce patient mortality and improve the quality of life in beneficiaries with acute myocardial infarction.
