Listed for FIFA Best Award. Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are on the list to find the best male player of the year. There are five Manchester City players on the list who won the treble last season. Holland, who won UEFA’s best player award this year, is at the top of the list of possibilities. Performance in the last World Cup will not be considered to determine the best men’s player.
The performance for the period from last December 19 to August 20 will be considered for the award. This boosts Holland’s chances. Apart from Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva, Rodri and former City captain Ilkay Gundogan are also on the list.
Along with Salma Parallelo and Lauren James, Aitana Bonmati, who won this year’s UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award, is on the list to find the best female player. Pep Guardiola, who led City’s surge last season, is on the men’s manager list. Fans can vote for each category until October 6.
