Linz (OTS) – The investigation was therefore stopped by the public prosecutor’s office: First, the then ÖVP finance minister Blümel was blackened and the WKStA began its rumbling investigations, including a house search, which in turn was made public quite by chance, even though there was no solid evidence at the time. According to the reasons for the appointment, this does not exist to this day. In the end, nothing remained of these investigations except initial suspicions – or rather, hot political air.
But what happens now to the informers of the opposition à la Kickl and Co, who prejudged and hit Blümel like barkers in this case? Such an approach is frighteningly reminiscent of vigilantism…
Conversely, this also means: If a politician is annoying to you, a complaint that triggers an investigation is enough to drive the politician out of office on suspicion – these are truly conditions like in a banana republic. Who will be next on the list? And shouldn’t all those who have unfairly misused unproven suspicions for their political purposes – the presumption of innocence applies – now have to take their hats off themselves?
