Doña Carmen is originally from Fresnillo, Zacatecas and is the mother of 5 children, and she says that she told her grandchildren that “what I did not do when I was young I now do and I have already finished my Primary School”, she also announced that she is going to study Secondary School in the ICHEA, in addition to open high school and wants to pursue a degree in Medicine, “to be a doctor.”

The general director of ICHEA, Mario Eberto Javalera Lino, highlighted that Doña Carmen’s case is one of many that the Institute detects, when the willpower of adults to fulfill their life goals is discovered.

“She left or was not able to study in her childhood and youth, but thanks to ICHEA, we can support people over 15 years of age so that, with effort and dedication, they achieve goals and complete their Basic Education. Doña Carmen shows us that age It is not an impediment,” said Javalera Lino.

Finally, Mrs. Carmen García left a message to people who do not have a Primary or Secondary education, that “they want to, because it is very nice and that’s how you get ahead, with a little or a lot you get ahead but now with your educational certificates.”
