Świątek announced on social media that she would not take part in the competition in Guadalajara, which will be held on September 17-23. “Unfortunately, I have to withdraw from the tournament due to the tight calendar and its changes. I have to listen to my body and as the season is very intense – our priority as a team is to play it to the end in good health and plan my starts wisely so as not to risk injuries “I’m sorry, but I’m sure the tournament will be great,” we read in the Polish woman’s statement.

Świątek additionally announced that she would return to competition for the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo, which is scheduled from September 25 to October 1.
