German National Team’s Victory Over France and England: Euro 2024 Preparations

Dortmund – Glasgow, September 13 / WAM / The German national team regained its winning tone with a 2-1 friendly victory over its French counterpart, yesterday, Tuesday, as part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming European Nations Cup (Euro 2024), which its country is hosting.
The English national team won over its Scottish host 3-1 in another friendly match that took place yesterday as well.
At the Signal Iduna Park stadium in the German city of Dortmund, the German national team defeated its French counterpart with two goals scored by Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane in the 4th and 87th minutes, versus a goal scored by Antoine Griezmann from a penalty kick in the 89th minute, making it the team’s first victory following 5 matches without any victory.
The past 5 matches of the German national team witnessed one draw and 4 defeats, including the defeat once morest its Japanese counterpart 4-1 last Saturday, which contributed to the departure of coach Hansi Flick from coaching the team.
