It took another four years until she received the money she was entitled to. The reason: the state of Upper Austria and the pension insurance company disputed who was responsible for the payment. It was only with the help of the Chamber of Labor that the Administrative Court provided clarity: the affected employee received around 8,500 euros in back pay.
The employee suffers from severe visual impairment and has received care allowance since childhood. In 2006, the authorities overlooked the fact that the care allowance had been unfairly reduced. In 2017, the woman turned to AK Vöcklabruck. After a lengthy process, responsibility has now been clarified and the money has been paid.
