Despite the criticism, the film Fifty Shades Freed was a real commercial success. The final chapter of the erotic saga took first place at the box office during its first weekend of release in the United States, bringing in more than $38 million in revenue. After twenty weeks of release, the film starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson has raked in more than $370 million in revenue, including $271 million collected outside American soil.
