This Monday, September 11, Julien Bal received on his set the lawyer Dany Spreutels, the psychoanalyst Véronique Zana, the restaurateur Toto Bongiorno, the Brussels deputy Michaël Vossart and the journalist Romain Masquelier. On the program, the climate demonstration in Brussels this Sunday, the resignation of Rubiales and the issues surrounding the teaching profession.
Concerning the upcoming demonstration, Toto Bongiorno remains skeptical. “Le Quan’s struggle is honorable, but utopian. “It doesn’t change anything regarding the situation on the planet,” he asserts. “Making efforts on our part when we pollute the rest of the planet is useless. We were fooled,” concludes the restaurateur.
Then returning to the scandal of the forced kiss of Luis Rubiales, Toto Bongiorno also speaks. For his part, he believes that Rubiales’ kiss was “awkward” but that the scandal is disproportionate. Facing him, lawyer Dany Spreutels does not agree and sees the behavior of the former president of the Spanish football federation as unworthy: “When millions of viewers condemn the same gesture, a moment, that means to say something. It was not the first time.” For him, the Spanish leaders are at fault: “They defended Rubiales, it is even more unacceptable”.
To conclude the program, MP Michaël Vossaert pointed out the behavior of parents who “allow themselves to harass, to telephone teachers, to contact them on their private networks”. “We must protect teachers,” he believes. The Brussels MP also considers that the profession must be revalued: “Because of digital technology, a teacher is immediately contradicted by students, including on his lessons”. Lawyer Dany Spreutels agrees, declaring that “some teachers no longer even dare to turn their backs on their students”.
