A patrol from the Brussels Capital-Ixelles police zone made a significant capture this Thursday, the zone indicated in a press release. It all started with a traffic stop. Officers arrested two individuals on Rue du Grand Cerf following spotting a series of traffic violations. “A loaded firearm was discovered in the glove compartment of the said vehicle, as well as a small quantity of cannabis on the two individuals“, explains the police zone. The search continued at the police station: the suspects hid 14 packets of cocaine in their underwear.

The police checked the history of the individuals: they were already known for a number of facts and were free on conditions. The investigation therefore continued at the driver’s home. Here is the result of the search, still according to the area:

1.2 kilograms of marijuana, 21 ecstasy pills, a small quantity of cocaine, 13 knives, 1,739 euros in cash, brass knuckles, 2 telescopic batons, 9 mobile phones.

In the middle of a search, a surprise for the investigators: a woman enters the apartment. She was transferred to the police station for questioning.

A search of the passenger’s home did not prove possible because the latter does not have a fixed address. Everything was seized and the driver of the vehicle was placed at the disposal of the Brussels public prosecutor’s office. An investigating judge was contacted who placed the person under arrest warrant“, concludes the press release.
