Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in ODI cricket. The legend has scored 18426 runs from 463 ODIs. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara is second with 14234 runs from 404 ODIs. Former Australian player Ricky Ponting is third. Ponting scored 13704 runs in 375 matches.
At the same time, Kohli actually came close to Sachin Tendulkar in terms of centuries. Sachin Tendulkar is the world leader with 49 centuries followed by Kohli with 47 centuries. Kohli may be able to achieve the magical number of 50 centuries in ODIs this year itself. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is third with 30 centuries.
