Silent Rain is a new horror FPS, playable cooperatively, which should be released on Steam on October 20. And seeing the trailer, it’s hard to get excited. At the moment, it seems like yet another horror game, where players must explore a haunted mansion and flee from a very, very nasty enemy who is very, very scary. Information available on Steam are nothing to excite either, even if the developers declare that “each attempt will allow you to accumulate knowledge regarding the house, its inhabitant, but also regarding the different objects which can help you during your investigation”. maybe Silent Rain will feature a roguelite component, or something similar to Hello Neighbor ?
It is possible that the demo available for free on Steam answers this question, but no one in the editorial office has had the courage to check. Note that it seems that it is developed by a Lyon studio, called Seedlers Interactive. Probably founded by an intern from Arkanesince we can read on the official website that the studio aims to “push the boundaries of immersive and interactive experiences”. We wish them courage!
